Hello, I no longer see all of the tool options available, such as the paintbrush. I now only have the felt pen, highlight, and pencil. How do I get the others back?

Update: l deleted the app and then redownloaded and they came back. Is there a way to avoid this in future?

Try updating your iPad to iPadOS 17 (Settings app → General → Software update). There’s a bug in the app where iPadOS 16 users are seeing icons for brushes they can’t actually use (the paintbrush, monoline pen, fountain pen, and wax crayon) - updating to iPadOS 17 will give you the actual new brushes.
