Insert Space Above causes data loss

Select some ink, choose Insert Space Above. Any strokes pushed completely below the bottom of the page are destroyed — or at least the lasso tool cannot select them anymore.

Sorry you lost data. Does this help?

  1. Make a small mark at the bottom of your page
  2. Select it with the lasso
  3. Choose ‘Insert space above’
  4. Grab the yellow handle and pull it up to the top of the page

If your ink is still in the page’s data, but just pushed off the visible edge, this might move it back up onto the page where you can see it.

Ah, that’s brilliant! Perhaps make that blue line always appear if there’s ink outside the page bounds?
