Bug: Empty space in shelf when syncing new notebook from other device

I have 2 installs- one on an iPhone, one on a iPad.
Both can reproduce the same issue: Create a new notebook on one device, open the app on the other device- and a blank space at the front of the shelf is seen instead of the new notebook. Clicking the blank space results in loading the new book - so eventually things sort out, but it’s glitchy.
