I’m using the daily calendar page where notes are in the center and the calendar is on the left side. When events are close together the type lays on top of each other for events that are close together.

Are you able to send us a screenshot via Get Support (in Account tab of the app), just to see how many calendars are active and what the layout looks like? You can redact the text as needed.
.Can you sync an outlook calendar?
As long as it’s added to your iPad Settings you should be able to see it.
