Better paste and easier shape recognition

Hi. Just joined this forum but have been using penbook for a while now. I have some suggestions which I would like to share with the developing team.

  1. The paste function in the app does not work if I was lo paste from any other app including notes and GoodNotes.in addition copying from an excel for example also does not work.
  2. The straight line function by using 3 fingers is very inconvenient. I am sure you folks can find a
    Better way to do it
    Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback. Better paste is a good idea, although pasting ink from other, non-PencilKit apps (like GoodNotes) is probably not technically feasible for us.

Regarding shape recognition: have you tried turning on “Automatically recognize shapes” in Settings? In the newest version (v6.0.2), this will very quickly show you a ‘perfect’ straight line whenever it detects an almost-straight line – the preview appears in the bottom-left of the screen, and tapping it will snap your line straight.

Why make it so complicated? Simple hold the line to make it straight is so much more convenient. Why preview then use Second copy pasta from other apps should be easy. GoodNotes does it all the time.

Haha if only it was easy!

If only. That being said this was a suggestion and a feedback. I use pencil quite often but find these as stumbling blocks. Thanks for listening.

I have gotten used to three finger tap, and find it very convenient. The shape recognition in the corner does not always appear, but making a straight line ususally works with three fingers anyway.

Thanks for a good app, and for listening to us customers!
